Decrease by 53.7% of baccarat revenue in June - Nevada
Baccarat is a popular game in the casinos of Nevada. But in recent months, baccarat is experiencing a decline in attendance, a fact that impacted directly on the income of gambling establishments on the strip. In June, baccarat turnover for all the State casinos reached $ 64.7 million, which means a decrease of 53.7% over 2014. As a reminder, Baccarat turnover in June 2014 represents 154.8% of the previous month. During the first semester of 2015, its income fell by almost 20%. Players’ stake also declined by over 43% to 616.7 million dollars during the same period. All this has had an impact on the amount of money collected by casino on bets, only 9.4% against 12.4% over the same period of last year.
The Gaming Control Board said on Tuesday that gambling revenue in Nevada fell more than 8% to 830.9 million dollars. The June figures are disappointing if one refers to income of May which amounted to more than a billion dollars. On the strip, income fell by 16.3% to 445.5 million dollars. As for slot machine income, it amounted to 230.8 million dollars, down by 4.1% over one month. For the first six months of the year, revenues registered for their part an increase of 4.4%. The whole casino games generated $ 48.7 million in taxes in July based on gambling revenues of June.
