Hard Rock presents the plan of the first casino in northern New Jersey
All casinos of the State of New Jersey are gathered in Atlantic City, but it is likely that legislators adopt a new law to expand gambling facility outside of the city. Lawmakers who support the implanting of casinos in the north of the State have already submitted on Monday a bill on the construction of three new casinos in the counties of Bergen, Essex and Hudson. The Meadowlands Racetrack is the most mentioned place in northern New Jersey to receive a casino. Hard Rock International already holds a 16% interest in this property in Bergen County. The US hotel and entertainment giant known worldwide for its music-themed casino-hotels has decided to build a space for casino game on the site.
Hard Rock International and Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment will present this Wednesday their plan to redevelop the Meadowlands Racetrack Casino. The presidents of both companies, Jim Allen and Jeff Gural, will hold a press conference in Meadowlands to present the architectural renderings of the future casino in northern New Jersey. The president of Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment, Jeff Gural, is optimistic about the alliance by announcing during an Atlantic City gaming conference this week that Hard Rock Casino Meadowlands could generate $ 1 billion of revenue per year. To appeal to legislators about the importance of the project, Gural plan to inject 200 to 300 million dollars in tax revenue from the casino, an amount that could revive the economy of Atlantic City.
