UKIPT Galway: Appointment in Ireland from July 27th
After the step in London in last June, the United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) continue the season with a stop in Ireland. The UKIPT Galway will be held from July 27th to August 12th. As expected, 50 events will be part of this program, with the UKIPT Galway Main Event of 1,100 buy-in, as key point. This event proposes a guaranteed prizepool of more than 1 million. The Main Event of the UKIPT Nottingham offered the same prizepool, 210,400 of which were won by Robert Baguely, the winner of this poker tournament.
This poker festival will last over two weeks and will offer 50 tournaments to amateurs of poker of the country and of the neighboring regions. A large number of players have already modified their program of the month, in order to participate in this major poker event in Galway. We shall regret the absence of Bertrand « ElkY » Grospellier, who announced on twitter his possible absence at the UKIPT Galway. But other great names of poker, such as Eugene Katchalov or the « triple crown » Jake Cody will be present. Vanessa Rousso and the EPT champion Liv Boeree will bring a feminine touch to the competition. As for local players, we can count on the presence of Barny Boatman, Matt Perrins and Matthew Ashton, after their remarkable performance at the World Series of Poker. These players won three WSOP bracelets and allowed the United Kingdom to qualify at the third place of the tournament, behind the United States and Canada.
