Deauville gears itself up for a 12-day poker festival - EPT Deauville 2015
Deauville is famous for its paradisiacal beaches and its idyllic scenery, with a beautiful panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean. The seaside city remains one of the best destinations to spend ones summer holiday. Alongside its tourist vocations, Deauville is also known for its casino, the mythical Casino Barrière; recall that in recent years, this gambling establishment has played host to the annual European Poker Tour festival. This year, the EPT Deauville kicks off this Tuesday, January 27th, and will run until February 7th. It actually features 45 events. This EPT stop at Deauville will be a great opportunity for poker enthusiasts across France to participate in the Grand Final of the France Poker Series Season IV. In fact, the FPS will open the festivity with a 1,100 buy-in poker tournament. As a reminder, last year, Dutchman Niels Van Leeuwen topped a gigantic field of 1,095 players to win the event for 175,000 of prize.
As usual, the most anticipated battle in this festival remains the EPT 5,300 buy-in Main Event, scheduled from February 1st. Participants have two starting days to enter into the race. If the schedule works great, the successor of the 2014 EPT Deauville champ Sotirios Koutoupas (he bested 671-player field) will be known on February 7th. The 10,300 buy-in High-Roller is also listed as the highlights of this poker festival. Forty other events will be run over 12 days with buy-in for all taste and bankroll size.
