Professional poker: Celebrities are getting more and more in the game
The practice of poker is no longer a matter of professional players only. Many enthusiasts are engaged in this practice and win notoriety on online poker rooms or in live tournaments organized in the four corners of the world. Among these enthusiasts, we remember essentially celebrities, no matter if they are actors, high-level athletes or television stars who excel in poker in the rather closed world of professional poker. Since 2010, many personalities dashed into the professional poker like Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Solo or Philippe Candeloro, and it is necessary to admit that they are quite gifted outside the small screens.
Having received the golden ball trophy in 2008 and pillar of Real Madrid, Christiano « CR7 » Ronaldo is a regular player at Full Tilt Poker. Ronaldo excels whether on a football field or on gaming tables, judging by his victory against Patrick Antonius in a No-Limit Hold'em head's up party of $ 25/$ 50. In France, Bruno Solo is one of these actors who like high-level poker tournament. Poker enthusiast since his teenage years, Bruno Solo is currently the ambassador of Party Poker in France. The vice champion of the world in 1994, Philippe Candeloro also prepares his reconversion after a long career in figure skating. He made his starts in November 2012 at the Cercle Cadet in Paris, during the Stars on Fire. Being still a novice, he was prematurely eliminated but plans to come back on the circuit.
