Dan Coleman, finalist again - Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open
After the misadventure of last year, marked by an overlay of $ 2.5 million, the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open is back this year with a new formula. Indeed, the guaranteed prize of ten million dollars was reduced to 5,000,000. The reduction in the prize pool is accompanied by a proscription of reentries and the adoption of a single registration. But the bet is not really won, because the Main Event has registered a total of 907 entries, while 1,000 were needed to bridge the prize pool. Nevertheless, this $ 5,250 buy-in poker tournament remains up to its promises. After a few days of competition, the Main Event has reached its final table.
For the second consecutive year, Dan Coleman reaches the final table of the tournament. The final promises to be hotly disputed, as the defending champion will defend his title at all costs. What is not won in advance even if he remains the favorite of the final table. To recall, the young poker pro won more than $ 22.3 million, four titles and nine final tables in 2014. He occupies the third place in the chip count with 3,655,000 chips, but remains far behind the leader. Indeed, the chipleader of the final table, Randy Pfeifer, totals 8.03 million chips. He has less than 5 million more chips than his pursuer, Omar Zazay and his stack of 3.84 million chips. Among the finalists, we also find Brian Phillis (3.07 million), Larry Moccia (2.73 million), Vlad Mezheritsky (2,700,000), Paul Volpe (1,160,000), Rick Alvarado (1,090,000) and Joseph Couden (950.000).
