Jason Mercier sealed a win - WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown
After a couple of months break, Jason Mercier is back on the poker scene by winning the Side Event 8 Game of the ongoing WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, in Hollywood. Prior to this win, Merciers had emerged victorious of a Super High Roller event in December 2014 at the $ 100,000 buy-in WPT Alpha8, in Saint Christophe. He had cashed a whopping prize of $ 727,500. May we remind you that Mercier is a living legend of the poker tournaments industry with two World Series of Poker bracelets in his record; he has also grabbed many titles in the European Poker Tour. He is currently ranked 8th on the "All Time Money List" in the United States, and 7th on the weekly-updated Global Poker Index ranking.
This week, the US poker pro Jason Mercier claimed the Side Event 8 Games win by topping a field of 15 players. Unexpectedly, Merciers participation in this $ 2,200 buy-in side event of the World Poker Tour generated an awe-stricking buzz among poker community. Any way, certainty is that he was right enough to do so. Jason Mercier has actually added $ 18,000 to his $ 13,816,192 overall career cashes by crushing Ben Yogel and Marcello Costa, the two players completing the podium. Both men respectively headed to exit for $ 12,000 each. Jason Mercier secured the lead from Day 2s start right to the last hand of the game.
