Nordine Bencheik bested the 341-player field and win - BPT Bordeaux 2015
The Barrière Poker Tour (BPT) festival is back after four months of break. It run an enticing stop in Bordeaux last weekend, attracting a modest number of participants. Actually, the BPT Bordeaux seduces a field of 341 players (346 participants in 2014); Nordine Bencheik bested the pack to claim the first-place prize. By crushing Olivier Sintes in the heads-up, Nordine grabbed his very first but big win in such notable poker tournament. Worthy to be mentioned, Olivier Sintes came a long way to the ultimate clash after two double-ups. However, he failed to keep the pace, and eventually left the 32,000 prize to Nordine Bencheik. Runner-up of the BPT Bordeaux Main Event, Sintes would console himself with 20,800 of prize.
High-profile poker player Brian Benhamou secured the last-place on the podium for 13,530. Nicolas Merceron fell to 4th place for 9,570, followed by Killian Braud (5th, 7,470), François Munoz (6th, 6,080), Kévin Gouillot (7th, 5,050), Olivier Gomez (8th, 4,260), Eric Feriot (9th, 3,740) and Saber Harrazi (10th, 3,290). Speaking of the 1,000 buy-in Masters, it saw 26 entrants in the race for the top payday. Matthew Lamagnère claimed the title along with the top prize of 10,110 as he beat John Montury (2nd place, 6,740) in the final showdown. After this BPT Gironde , the Tour will fly to Ribeauvillé and run the seasons third stop with a super Deepstack event from March 26 to 29.
