The festival hits a record-breaking 1,355 entries - FPS Deauville 2015
In 2014, the France Poker Series (FPS) attracted a gigantic field of 1,095 participants. This year, the first starting day of the France Poker Series Season IV has brought together 467 poker players. And after ten 45-minute levels of play, only 213 would proudly make their own way to Day 2 flight. With a pretty modest stack of 321,600 chips, Jonathan Koskas enters the next battle with confidence. In fact, 888 players took part in this poker tournament on Day 1B, rising the total field to a record-breaking 1,355. Day 1B was played with the same structure as the previous day. Coming out lucky on the second starting day are 480 players with Florian Mann (175,000 chips) atop the chip count. Clément Jeunon is ranked second with 168,000 chips, followed by Rasmus Vogt (142,000), Karim Zeddag (133.000), Thomas Denis (125,000) Lieb Bechrir (115,000), Clément Maestracci (111,000), Cyril Ben Soussan (110,000) , Mecit Turan (108,000) and Arnaud Mattern (104,000).
As expected, those making it through Day 2 include both locally and internationally-famed poker players. Arnaud Mattern, Erwann Pecheux, Damien Lhommeau, Brian Benhamou and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier are part of them. In addition to the 213 survivors on Day 1A, there is a total field of 693 players to battle it out this Friday at 12. Jonathan Koskas remains the chip leader with his 321,600 chips. Yohan Abitbol and Florian Mann are also in a comfortable position. Both men respectively have 206,800 and 175,000 chips.
