21 events on the menu till February 2nd - Aussie Millions 2015
The Season 2015 of live poker festival in the Asia-Pacific region begin this month with the Aussie Millions Poker Championship. Playing host to the great event is the legendary Crown Casino in Melbourne (Australia). Scheduled to run from January 14 to February 2nd, 2015, the 18th annual Asia-Pacific poker tournament festival will be played over two weeks with 21 events on the menu. The most anticipated battle remains the Main Event. However, the AMPC 2015 also includes other highly interesting events on the agenda. Speaking of the Main Event, the entry-fee is tagged $ 10,600. It has three starting day flights, from January 25 to 27 while the final table is scheduled on February 1st. Last year, Ami Barer won the title by besting a field of 668 players. Barer earned $ 1.6 million AUD and 2,100 Card Player POY points. It is worth mentioning that he finished 2nd place in the 2014 Player of the Year race.
Poker variations including No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha and H.O.R.S.E with entry-fees ranging from $ 1,150 to $ 250,000 are also on the 2015 Aussie Millions Poker Championships program. Of course, the High Rollers event is expect to attract as many players as last year. After all, participants can choose between the $ 25,000 buy-in High Roller, the $ 100,000 buy-in Super High Roller and the $ 250,000 buy-in LK Boutique challenge. In 2014, the $ 100,000 event seduced 76 players (with Yevgeniy Timoshenko winning the first-place prize for about $ 2 million AUD) while the $ 250,000 buy-in recorded 46 entries (with Phil Ivey grabbing about $ 4 million AUD home).
