Steve Wolansky crowned Winner - 2014 Borgata Fall Poker Open Main Event
The 2014 edition of the Borgata Fall Poker Open Championship concluded with Steven Wolansky winning the Main Event. This is the most valuable title Wolansky has ever claimed in his live poker career. Indeed, Steve Wolansky has just added a new title to his record following his $ 1,500 buy-in 2-7 Lowball Event (Event # 36) first-place finish last summer in Las Vegas where he topped a field of 241 players to grab his very first golden WSOP bracelet. Of the 548 participants who made up the field of the Borgata Fall Poker Open Main Event, the end of last week would only saw 10 survivors to battle it out for the final table after four days of play. Larry Abrams was the chip leader of the final. The nine other finalists include Paul Volpe, Daniel Chan, Josh Spiegelman, Taylor von Kriegenbergh, Mark Sykes, Brian Altman, Larry Abrams, Daniel Buzgon and Jack Duong, all determined to grab the title.
Steve Wolansky emerged victorious after he crushed Taylor von Kriegenbergh in the heads-up. For his win in this $ 1 million guarantee event held in Borgata Hotel Casino & Spas poker room, Steven Wolansky was awarded $ 330,887 of cash. As forTaylor von Kriegenbergh, he earned $ 186,046 for his second place. Larry Abrams fell to 3rd place for $ 119,601ahead of Paul Volpe (4th, $ 95,016), Brian Altman (5th, $ 74,418), Josh Spiegelman (6th, $ 61,129), Daniel Buzgon (7th, $ 48,505), Daniel Chan (8th, $ 37,874), Jack Duong (9th, $ 26,578) and Mark Sykes (10th, $ 17,276).
