WSOP 2014: $10 million guaranteed for the winner of the Main Event
From now, itÂ’s official! The 45th edition of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), the edition of this year 2014 promises to be a magnificent event. In fact, just after the opening of the market of online poker in Nevada and very soon in other American States, the organizers of the greatest world appointment of poker are more than ever confident. Proof of this assurance according to which the WSOP 2014 will drain a crazy world, a prize guaranteed of $10 million will be offered to the winner of the Main event. In the annals of the WSOP, such prize will thus constitute the 2nd biggest reward of all times, after the $12 million won in 2006 by Jamie Gold.
Alongside the Main event and its final table in November, the program of the WSOP of this year will be particularly interesting. Between May 27th and July 15th, 65 events which should distribute gains of more than $200 million are expected to be held in Las Vegas, at Rio Casino to be more precise. After the opening tournament by the employees of the casino, the Mixed-Max No-Limit Hold'em at $25,000 will constitute the event #2 of these meetings. Several tournaments between $500 and $1,500 are also waited, including the Millionaire Maker of May 31st, the poker tournament which will offer $1million to the winner. The Big One for One Drop, with a buy-in at $1million, will be also held in June 29th. With 56 participants expected, its winner will pocket $20 million.
