Aussie Millions: Ami Barer and Yevgenjy Timoshenko crowned
The main event and the $100,000 Challenge of the Aussie Millions 2014 have given their results. Concerning the main tournament, it has ended by Ami Barers victory. Aged of only 22 years old, this Canadian poker player has just won the greatest trophy and the biggest gain of his career. Let us note that for having triumphed face to 667 players including international stars, Barer has pocketed $1,432,800. During the final table, they young champion had to confront with well known players, following the example of Scott Seiver, Jacob Balsiger and Darren Rabinowitz. His opponent in the final duel is no other than his compatriot Sorel Mizzi, holder of the bronze medal in the Aussie Millions 2010. Despite the experience of the latter, Barer has well dominated the round and has eventually managed to emerge victorious of the meeting. Mizzi has got the second prize of $895,500.
Concerning the Super High Roller at $100,000, this poker tournament, having registered a record field, has ended with the coronation of the American professional Yevgenjy Timoshenko. He has got the big jackpot of $1,791,000. Let us note that Timoshenko has faced the runner-up of the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure 2014, Mike McDonald during the ultimate duel. The two protagonists have started the round with a small difference in chips number. But the current champion has quickly taken the place of leader and managed to tame till the end. As consolation, McDonald has got a significant amount of $1,343,250. Erik Seidel (3rd), Doug Polk (4th), Patrick Antonius (5th), Daniel Negreanu (6th), David Steicke (7th) and Martin Jacobson (8th) complete the top 8 of the tournament.
