World Poker Tour: A new stopover in China in November
After the success of last year, the organizers of the World Poker Tour reissue the WPT National China for the second consecutive time, by staying at the MGM Grand Sanya Resort. This poker event will be held from next November 5th, with the already confirmed participation of Johnny Chan, Liz Lieu, David Chiu, Maria Ho and Xuan Liu. The Main Event of the WPT National China Tournament will be accessible for a buy-in of $1,500 to guarantee a prize pool of $1,432,000, about ¥8,800,000. Last year, this poker tournament received 542 players coming from around the world; following the example of Phil Hellmuth, McLean Karr, Johnny Chan, David Chiu and Wang Feng. The event was won by Zheng Hua Lei for an earning of $192,406, after a heads-up with You Jia Wang, while Sam Razavi completed the podium.
This year, the Main Event of the WPT National China Tournament will take place at the poker room of the MGM Grand Sanya Resort, until the obtaining of six finalists. The final table is going to be postponed in December 14th in Jeju, South Korea, and will open the hostilities of the WPT South Korea, which will begin the day after, from December 15th to 19th. To qualify for the WPT National China Tournament, the organizers planned the holding of satellite tournaments in the United States. These satellites are going to be organized at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino of Hollywood, in Florida, and at Commerce Casino in California. The goal is to attract more players than last year and make China a new poker destination in Asia, even for Americans.
