Deepstack Open: Yassir Erragh stands out in Gujan Mestras
While great names of poker rushed in Barcelona for the inaugural step of the tenth season of the European Poker Tour, some enthusiasts of this cards game, as for them, came in the south-west of France, for the 4th step of the Deepstack Open 2013. The poker room of the casino of Gujan-Mestras was packed with 393 registrations during the Main Event at 550 of buy-in, limited to 300 players. This significant attendance generated a prizepool of more than 150,000, among which 31,540 were reserved for the winner. A large number of famous poker players honored this great tournament of the south-west of France, following the example of Clément Bonin, Quentin Lecomte, Florent Marquès, Stéphane Gérin, Francois Robert Rebecca Gerin or Antony Hnatow.
After four days of competition, the DSO Aquitaine Gujan Mestras was won by Yassir Erragh. He won his first title in live poker tournament, after a heads-up with Julia Vassort, who settled himself with 17,000. Enthusiast of Deepstack Open, Vassort played his third final table of this season, after stages in Ibiza and Cannes. Bertrand Guenoun (13,000), Thomas Lhomme (9,000) and Loic Blarez (8,000) complete the Top 5 of this Aquitaine step of the DSO 2013. The event guaranteed a minimum gain of 1,100, which went to Laurent Hueso for his 58th place, the first paid place. After Gujan-Mestras, the circuit is going by next week with the DSO San Remo. This Italian step of the Deepstack Open will take place at the casino of San Remo, from September 12th to 15th of this year.
