European Poker Tour: Some changes for the Season X
The tenth season of the European Poker Tour will start in September, with the EPT Barcelona. This new season benefited from some notable changes on the whole of the circuit. In fact, the organizers brought changes so that players would be able to participate in EPT events, as well in the Main Event as in Side Events. The organizers have increased the number of Side Events for all steps of this season. More variants of poker have been added in the program, but their running depends only on the legislation of the host country. Players will take advantage of late registrations until the fifth level, for these numerous Side Events.
The greatest change of this Season X concerns the Main Event and the High Rollers, which propose belated registrations until the beginning of the Day 2. For the Main Event, « late registration » will allow players to start the Day 2 with a stack of 30,000 chips on 400/800 blinds ante 75, for a buy-in of 5,300. But like previous Main Events of the EPT, the Main Events of the Season X will always have two departure days: the Day 1A and 1B. The European Poker Tour Barcelona will be held in parallel with the Estrellas Poker Tour Barcelona. This festival of poker tournament in the Spanish capital will take place from August 26th to September 7th 2013. The Main Event of the EPT Barcelona will be held from September 1st to 7th of this year. Last year, the event was won by the Belarusian Mikalai Pobal, on a field of more than 1,000 players.
