Bellagio Cup VIII: Elio Fox wants to keep his title
Las Vegas is the capital of poker as evidenced by the various live poker tournaments held there. In addition to the WSOP 2012 held at Rio Casino, Las Vegas is since Friday, July 13 the host of the Bellagio Cup VIII, a tournament that takes place in the prestigious Bellagio Resort. On its first day, the Bellagio Cup VIII brought together a field of 126 players who paid the buy-in of $ 10,000. Compared to the previous year, the tournament registered a lower turnout but this new edition, the eighth, was characterized by the participation of many professional players from all around the globe. After the Day 1, the French presence was represented by Alain Roy and Ekrem Sanioglu. Roy is one of the players vying for the title thanks to his second place in terms of chip count.
Among the survivors of the first day, we noted the presence of Elio Fox, David Sands, Steve O 'Dwyer, Sam Stein, Bryn Kenney, David Williams, Dwytte Pilgrim, Barry Shulman and Olivier Busquet. Participants generated a prize pool of $ 1,222,200 of which $ 408,444 will be provided for the winner. The latter will also receive a $ 25,500 package to the WPT World Championship at the next season of the WPT. Last year, Elio Fox won the victory over a field of 224 players. This year, the verdict will be known on Wednesday, July 18 during the final table.
