PPT Final: Giuseppe Pantaleo as chipleader for the day 2
The grand finale of the Partouche Poker Tour (PPT) began on September 12 and a total field of 426 participants were registered after the first two days of competition. Indeed, the poker room of Palm Beach Casino in Cannes gathered 244 players on Day 1A and at the end of the meeting, there were only 139 survivors. Several top players have already left the party like Leonard Truche, Bruno Launais, Men Nguyen, Antoine Saout, Marvin Rettenmaier, Jani Sointula, Nicolas Cardyn, the champion of the European Poker Tour Warsaw in 2007 Peter Jepsen and also Martin Jacobson. But some poker stars still received their access ticket for Day 2 as Hassan Fares, the defending champion Vanessa Selbst, her runner up Raphael Kroll, Basile Yaiche, Ludovic Lacay, Arnaud Mattern, Marc Inizan and Tristan Clémençon. But the player who had the chance to be in place of chipleader is the Romanian Anton Ionel.
This player was qualified at the PPT Summer sat of Aix-en-Provence. He has already proven his talent to play poker at the Main Event of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) by going to the final table. On Day 1B, 182 players were registered. And we could also see some professional players like Gabriel Nassif, Ilan Boujenah, David Rheem and Olivier Busquet, all of whom are in the top 10. But the German Giuseppe Pantaleo got the privileged to win the place of chip leader. He will therefore start the Day 2 as chipleader as he holds 265,000 chips in hand.
