European Poker Tour: Berlin confirmed to host a new stop
Despite the unfortunate incident of the season 6 of the European Poker Tour (EPT) held in Berlin, the organizers have not given up and will be ready again for the challenge by choosing the German capital this year. Berlin will be therefore still part of the destinations that will host this great event on the European continent on behalf of Season 7 of this year 2011. For this long-awaited return, players will have less than a week during the month of April to compete.
It is confirmed that the great rendezvous of the EPT Berlin will be played from April 5 to 10, 2011. In principle, the structure of the EPT Main Event in the German capital will be held in the same manner as last year. Thus, the main event of this European circuit will provide players with some 30,000 chips at the start of the game with rounds of 60 minutes during Day 1 to be relayed by rounds of 75 minutes from Day 2 and other days. As a reminder, some 945 participants from 48 countries competed in the 5,300 Main Event that generate a prize pool equal to 3,686,400 during the stopover in Berlin on the sidelines of season 6 of the poker year 2010. This German EPT was won by Kevin "ImaLuckSac" MacPhee who left the tournament with a record prize of 1 million plus the Players Choice award of the previous EPT edition.
