October Nine: Three French players still in the running
The names of the 9 finalists of the World Series Of Poker 2013 (WSOP) will be soon known. Currently, they are only 27 players left, including three French, namely Sylvain Loosli who occupies the second position of the ranking, Clément Tripodi and Benjamin Pollack. They are sure to go home with a minimum gain of $285,408. But the ultimate goal is of course, to arrive at the top of this mythical poker tournament, or at least, become a member of the October Nine. Note that this year, a colossal prize is to win, because in addition to the big bonus of $8,359,531, the winner will also receive a white 28 carats gold jewelry, decorated with about one hundred diamonds, whose amount is estimated at $500,000.
The German Anton Morgenstern occupies the place of chipleader with 21,955,000 chips in hands. He achieved a fine route during the sixth day of competition, although he is not yet well known by the poker community. Among the stars in the running for the final of the tournament, there are JC Tran, the champion of the WSOP 2001, Carlos Mortensen, Yevenjy Timoshenko, James Alexander, David Benefield, Amir Lehavot, Gabian Ortiz and Rep Porter. Steve Gee tries also to repeat his achievement of 2012, which is integrating the list of finalists. On the contrary, game is finished for the last woman in the running during this edition, who is the Australian Jackie Glazier. She bowed in the 31th position and pocketed the bonus of $229,281. The survivors of the Day 6 will join the poker room of the Rio from 9:00 p.m., to continue the competition.
