WPT Shooting Star: Two stars alive for the final table
The World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star continued with the Day 3 held on Thursday, March 17 with the 24 survivors of the Day 2. At the start of the day, there still remained three stars to shoot in the person of Mike Matusow, Mike Sexton and Kathy Liebert. While Mike Matusow and Mike Sexton managed to qualify for the final table, Kathy Liebert live another fate against Ben Hamnett. Liebert was eliminated in the 15th place but she was already in the ITM, she was settled with a gain of $ 29,500. Recognized WPT presenter, Mike Sexton will be this time on the other side of TV studio with his stack of 363,000 chips. He will not comment the final table for the first time in nine seasons and will begin the final table as the short stack with Casey McCarrel (430,000). Besides the last two Shooting Star, there is also Alan Sternberg, Vivek Rajkumar, Steven Kelly and Casey McCarrel at the final table of the WPT Shooting Star.
The final table will take place this Friday in the late afternoon with a large advantage for Alan Sternberg and Steven Kelly. Kelly is the chip leader of the final table with a big stack of 4,169,000 chips but he is closely followed by Alan Sternberg with 3,701,000 chips. Vivek Rajkumar is also part of the title contenders of this poker tournament. With a medium stack, Rajkumar is in his second consecutive WPT final table. After his title at the WPT Borgata in 2008, Vivek Rajkumar was the runner up in the LA Poker Classic in late February with a gain of $ 908,730.
