EPT Barcelona: A good start for Gerard Piqué in High Roller
On Thursday, the Main Event of the European Poker Tour Barcelona linked up with its Day 4. 79 players, survivors of the previous days, came back in the poker room of Casino Barcelona. At the end of the day, 24 players coming from the world of live and online poker, from 18 different nationalities survived and the Englishman Tom Middleton remains the chipleader of this Day 4. Behind Middleton and his 3,986,000 chips, we find again the Spanish Alejandro Perez with a stack of 3,300,000 chips. Players such as Anaras Alekberovas, Kimmo Kurko, Andras Christoforou, Emilio Jimenez and Madis Muur are also in a comfortable place at the start of the Day 5, with more than 2 million chips. The German Julian Thomas is the short stack, at the end of the Day 4, with 230,000 chips.
Yesterday was also marked by the beginning of the High Roller poker tournament at 10,000, in which 168 players registered. The German Ole Schemion ends the day, with the most chips (393,600). The international footballer and not less star of FC Barcelona, Gerard Piqué, occupies also a good place in this tournament, with his 308,500 chips. Among the 90 survivors of this Day 1 of the High Roller, we find also other great names of poker such as Igor Kurganov, Eugene Katchalov, Chino Rheem, Dan Smith, Ludovic Lacay, Roger Hairabedian, Ilari Sahamies, Jonathan Duhamel or Tobias Reinkemeier. This Friday, the Casino Barcelona will host the Day 5 of the Main Event and the Day 2 of the High Roller tournament.
