WSOP $50k Championship: Elky, Benyamine and Doyle Brunson in the race
The kickoff of the Poker Players Championship tournament of $ 50,000 buy-in of the World Series Of Poker 2013 (WSOP) was held on last Sunday. Organized in memory of David Reese, a great star of poker at the global level, the event gathered 120 participants and is currently at its third day. The Day 2 was marked by the elimination of many elites of poker, such as Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu. Two French are always still in the running, including Bertrand Grospellier and David Benyamine, who is in the sixth position, with 460,000 chips. They will still confront with numerous renowned players such as Andy Bloch, Justin Bonomo, David Bach, Dan Kelly and Justin Smith. Chipleader at the start of the second day of competition, the world champion of poker in 2010, Jonathan Duhamel is currently occupying the 4th position.
The legendary Doyle Brunson was also in the field of the departure, even if he had announced on Twitter his inability to sit down so long in front of a poker table, a few weeks before. Texas Dolly who always knows well how to play poker, has also managed to be part of the survivors of the Day 3. Being 79-year-old, Brunson launched numerous betting about the achievements that he will accomplish throughout the competition. He expects to climb the first step of the podium, a challenge that he is well able to take up, because Doyle Brunson effectively won the victory of the 2006s edition. Note that this player, among the oldest of the poker stars, is currently possessing 10 WSOP bracelets.
