A French victory signed by Kevin Tedesco - WPT National Cannes
Frances native Kevin Tedesco won at home the first title of the World Poker Tour National Cannes (WPTN). As a reminder, the event registered a record attendance with 431 entries. Some poker professional players as Guillaume Darcourt, Quentin Lecomte, Xavier Detournel, Ronan Monfort and Philippe Ktorza and other regulars of the circuit have been present at the kickoff. By taking into account this field, we can say that Tedesco realize a good feat as he was able to find his own way despite the presence of these big names. Note that most of these stars have not reached the final table. At the end of Day 2, there were 13 players to have joined the Casino Cannes Croisette poker room with Ikam Benyeffou in place of chipleader and Tedesco in 9th position.
The situation has evolved rapidly and after a few hands, the final table kicked off. Tedesco was part of qualified and he found the way to achieve the ultimate duel which opposed him to the Spaniard Jose Vicente Belsaduch. This final battle was fast. The French managed to eliminate the Spaniard to claim the bonus of 90,000 and the title of champion of the WPT National Cannes. The runner-up pocketed a gain of 63,000. Ikam Benyeffou managed to reach the 3rd place while pocketing a 41,000 reward. On the outcome of other events organized as part of the National WPT, the Carte Blanche tournament closed with the victory of François Creignou while Christophe Pommier was crowned winner of the High Roller.
