Cannes hosts the poker festivity of this weekend - France Poker Series
Poker lovers across France and from its neighboring countries are expected to meet this weekend on the shores of the Mediterranean with the France Poker Series Cannes (FPS). The poker room of Pullman Royal Casino is playing host to the event from Thursday with multiple poker tournaments on the agenda, including the highly anticipated 1,000 + 100 buy-in Main Event 300,000 guarantee. Included among the side events featured in the France Poker Series Cannes are the two-day-flights 2,200High Roller Event and the 330 buy-in Mini FPS. Moreover, a number of satellite events (available for 120 and 150 of entrance-fee) have been held since Monday, the qualification in which would allow players to secure seats in the Main Event.
France Poker Series is one of the most popular circuits. Better yet, FPS has always been a success. Last year, the FPS Cannes Main Event recorded 559 entries (207 players on Day 1A and 352 on Day 1B) for a total prize pool of 536,640. It was the Lithuanias Giedrius Gradeckas who took home the 120,000 first-place prize. Apart from the three small-sized poker battles mentioned above, the France Poker Series Cannes poker tournament also features five other side events.
