WPT Borgata Poker Open 2014: 31 players make it through to the next stage
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa of Atlantic City was hot until the early hours with the Day 2 flight of the World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open. As a reminder, Day 2 battle concluded at 02:30 (local time). 150 players entered the game, but only 31 of them survived. 30 players ht the rail empty handed. Steve Dannenmann was the first player to wave goodbye. He pocketed $ 6,750 for his In The Money place. As for David Melian, he was crowned “the bubble boy of the poker tournament”. At the end of the day, Jean "Prince" Gaspard bagged the chip lead with 5,464,000 chips. The Prince is well ahead with almost 2.5 million chips over his nearest opponent, Blake Bohn (with a stack of 2,951,000 chips).
The other players are all training behind. Any way, nine other survivors possess stacks that are above the average (1,186,451) heading to the final of six: Zo Karim, Nicholas Gerrity, Darren Elias, Kane Kalas, Ray Qartomy, Richard Munro, Ory Hen, Fuller Riley and Scott Matte. Surprisingly, numerous are the notable names who failed to qualify at the end of the day; they finished in the money though. Included in the group are, the defending WPT Player of the Year winner Mukul Pahuja, Ebony Kenney, Russell Thoma, Mike Sexton, Byron Kaverman, John Racener, Dan O'Brien, Jamie Kerstetter and Ryan Riess. The 31 survivors will return on Thursday to the Borgata poker room for Day 4 battle.
