Global Poker Index: Shannon Shorr in the top 10
Thanks to his second place in the poker tournament World Poker Tour (WPT) Lucky Hearts Poker Open, which has awarded him a bonus of $190,039, Shannon Shorr is from now on in the top 10 of the ranking Global Poker Index 300 (GPI). He has won 7 places and occupies the 9th position. He is among the players who knew a strong progress for this week. The champion of the World Series Of Poker Athanasios Polychronopoulos holds the record, because he accumulated 77 places won, which propelled him in the 185th position. Paul Volpe deserves also his place in the list because he won three places and is currently occupying the 10th position. The top 6 of the classification didnt know great changes. The Canadian Daniel Negreanu always holds the title of leader. Ole Schemion and Marvin Rettenmaier complete the podium. Dan Smith, Jason Mercier and Philipp Gruissem occupy respectively the 4th, 5th and 6th position. Vanessa Selbst managed to outstrip Mike McDonald for the 7th position.
Concerning the ranking GPI Player of The Year, Mike McDonald, Dominik Panka and Dan Smith are always leading. Vanessa Selbst is on the threshold of the podium. Jason Mercier completes the top 5. He has just won one place. Alexander Denisov, Liv Boeree, Fabian Quoss and Ami Barer have also known a small progress and they are respectively in the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th position. On the other hand, the Italian pro of poker Mustapha Kanit has just joined the top, thanks to his two victories in the side events of the Aussie Millions 2014 and his place in final in the High Roller tournament at $25,000 of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.
