World Series of Poker 2014: An overview on the new schedule
The poker tournament World Series of Poker (WSOP) is indisputably the greatest global appointment of poker enthusiasts. For its 45th edition, the WSOP will take place for the ten successive times in the premises of the sumptuous Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino of Las Vegas. This event will start on Tuesday, May 27th 2014, for non-stop 49 days of tournament, till Monday, July 14th 2014. The World Series of Poker 2014 will be closed by the nine days of the traditional Main Event, which is going to be accessible for a buy-in of $10,000. The complete calendar hasnt been revealed yet but the organizers are already giving us an overview of what is waiting for us in 2014.
This big event will start on Saturday, May 31st with the $1,500 $ Millionaire Maker, with a guaranteed prizepool of $1,000,000. On Saturday June 29th, the Big One for ONE DROP will come back with a buy-in of $1,000,000. This charitable event in favor of the ONE DROP association, limited to 56 players, reserves more than $20 million of prize to the winner. The Little One for ONE DROP will be held from July 3rd to 4th, for a moderate buy-in of $1,111. In 2013, the WSOP gathered 79,471 participants from 107 countries, of which 6,352 for the Main Event. As a reminder, the WSOP Main Event was won by the American Ryan Riess, for an earning of $8,361,570. For North American players, whose States regulated online poker, namely New Jersey and Nevada, they will be able to qualify online via the official poker room of the WSOP.
