EPT Deauville 2010: The French have their words to say
The European Poker Tour Deauville 2010 has just begun this Wednesday. It became one of the most important poker events in France or even in Europe since the return of the European Poker Turn on the Hexagon, just a year ago. The EPT Deauville 2009 would have been good forecasts for the French poker even if the winner of the tournament were not a tricolor player. It is wise to recall that last year, the title went to a young unknown German having the name of Moritz `catenaccio' Kranich. The good performance of the French players during all the year 2009 was initiated by the young French player Tristan Clémençon, who had created the surprise at the time of the last EPT of Deauville when he took, at only 19 years, the third place of the finale.
But this year, who knows, the hour of revenge could be stated by Clémençon. But he is not the only one, each French player present in this tournament nourishes in secrecy the dream of a victory at home. But the big favorite among all is Bertrand `Elky' Grospellier, he is the emblem of the red white blue poker since a few years and for whom, the EPT and the WPT seems to succeed. If Elky has all the necessary qualities to take down the title, many other French players also have the profile of the winner even in a lower level. The surprise can come from the players like Antoine Saout, Ludovic Lacay, Antony Lellouche who already showed their capacity before to manage a tournament of scale like this.
