Caritative poker: Positive assessment for the Pokerthon organized in Marseille
At the time of the Telethon whose main goal was to collect funds for a charitable work, the French clubs of poker organized each one on their sides their own charity tournaments. Everywhere in France, many clubs of poker had set up tournaments to pile up funds for charity cause. In Marseille for example, Nicokent and all the team association MarseilleHoldem had organized during the weekend a Telethon, not less than four tournaments of poker, of which three were opened for everyone were ordered. For MarseilleHoldem, the assessment of its 3rd Pokerthon is rather flattering: the gifts and the various receipts reached 4,000 , a sum which will go directly to the association AFM.
Compared with the results of last year, there was not of fall on the level of the receipts, but the association would have wished to do better than the 4,000 because this year, it uses a more important human resources. In all 19 voluntary took turns for the good course of the competition. 324 amateurs of poker answered the call of MarseilleHoldem. 65 of them divided the various present promised to the best. Present going from a simple fitted basket for Christmas to 2 places for a match of the OM. Well known guests came to inaugurate the tournament, with the example of Dédé Fournel, announcer of the Vélodrome Stadium or Domenica Grimault, director of the chain OMTV. The professional poker player, Eric Koskas, had also joined them later in the night.
